It was with great sadness when the members of the Australian Institute of Macedonian Studies learned of the passing of Christos Mantzios on the 18th of March 2023. Christos provided an invaluable service to the Institute for many years as it’s Treasurer. In honour of Christos’s service, the President of AIMS and the members of the board of directors have announced the establishment of the “Christos A. Mantzios Visiting Scholar Award”. The details of the award were published in the Neos Kosmos newspaper on the 23rd of March 2023.
